In this lesson, the students will be introduced to the positive form of the <b>simple</b> <b>past</b> tense. Students will be introduced to both regular and irregular <b>past</b> tense verbs. The lesson will be focused on introducing the meaning, form, and pronunciation of this language as well as providing some controlled and semi-controlled practice in the context of a journey.

In this lesson, students revise the tenses by discussing pictures about the twentieth century and matching them with specific dates. Then, they practice listening for gist by deciding which picture the conversation is taking about. Next, Students listen for details to correct what they have filled in the blanks.
