In this lesson, students revise the verb tenses and they learn 'Tag Questions'. The lesson starts with an icebreaker activity which helps students interact with each other. Then, they learn the MFPs of the target language. After that, students do some exercises about the target language. As a post activity, students use tag questions to guess about each other's lives.

The context is a murder mystery story, that gets the students listening and reading for gist and detail. In this lesson, students will practice writing a (short) postcard to a friend. Students will start with a lead-in that will set context followed by a sample writing they will read. Students will cover MFP of the sample letter and then be asked to write their own. Students will get feedback from their peers followed by feedback through DEC.

Beginner level

In this lesson, the students will be introduced to the positive form of the <b>simple</b> <b>past</b> tense. Students will be introduced to both regular and irregular <b>past</b> tense verbs. The lesson will be focused on introducing the meaning, form, and pronunciation of this language as well as providing some controlled and semi-controlled practice in the context of a journey.

In this lesson, students revise the tenses by discussing pictures about the twentieth century and matching them with specific dates. Then, they practice listening for gist by deciding which picture the conversation is taking about. Next, Students listen for details to correct what they have filled in the blanks. Finally they discuss what they heard and the new words they learnt.
