Procedure

Lead-in (7-10 minutes) • to introduce the new vocabularies

- T will show the vocabulary words on the WB - month, season, weather - She will elicit and then check and later drilling the words using different ways: (Month) -T will write a sentence on the board: I was born in April. -CCQs: which month comes before April? which month comes after April? and then will ask the Ss the following questions: what is this month? what was the last month? what is the next month? when is your birthday? what is your favorite month and why? (Season) - T will show the Ss a picture of the four seasons and will ask them if they know what is in the picture? - if they knew that it refers to seasons,she will ask them to name each season. if not she will explain the meaning, that it is one of the four periods of the year. and will point to each season and name it. then will write or show them the names on the boards and will let the Ss to match each season with its name. - T will ask some CCQs such as: How many seasons are there in a year? what are they? (Weather) - T will show pictures of different kinds of weather and will mime some of them so they would name them. - T will ask the students after the miming about the pictures and will ask them to name them.

Listening (6-8 minutes) • listening for gist

- T will tell the Ss that they are going to listen to the correct order of the months, then she will play the audio for the Ss. - T will show the HO to the students and will give them the instructions. - Ss will think for two minutes individually, and then they will do it in pairs. - after that they will check their answers as a group - students will match them in the board, T will give WCFB.

Reading for gist (3-5 minutes) • To get the main idea of the topic

- T will write a question on the board and then will show the students the HO and will tell them to read and think of the answer of this question. the question is : when is the best time to go to Dubai? - Ss will check their answers in pairs. - T will ask the students about the answer, and later, will give her feedback.

Reading for scanning/ for specific information (7-9 minutes) • to develop Ss reading skills

- T will explain to the Ss that they are going to read now the reading part again, but now they will think of seven adjectives to talk about the weather. after that, she will give them the HO. exercise 1 a - T will ask the students to discuss their answers in pairs (peer checking) - Next, the teacher will give the WCFB - Now T will give the students 3 minutes to think individually of part b - and then will ask the students to do it as a group

Speaking (5-10 minutes) • to get the Ss to reflect on what they read and to personalize the topic (productive skill)

-T will write question 2 on the board. - What is the weather like in your country? write a 'When to go' text like those you read before. - Then she will ask the students to discuss it in groups. - Ss will read out their texts. - T will correct errors if they have
