Main Aims

  • By the end of the lesson students will be able to speak about "A JOB SEARCH" and how to involve these words in their conversations

Subsidiary Aims

  • Students's writing and listening skill will be improved through this process as well

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

student will be shown a video, and they will try to guess today's topic afterwhile they will discuss 3 questions with their partner before opening (WC) the whole class feedback.

Pre-Reading (5-7 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

After setting the context, students will be confused because of two hard words that the text include, Teacher will clarify them using the (MPF) and to prevent students blocking on key vocabulary central to the topic.

While-Reading (3-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks

SS will read only without focusing on details (Read for gist) to give students reason to read they will try to match 2 words from the box below with the two texts. After they finish teacher will ask them to discuss them together before opening the whole class feedback. (Teacher monitors)

While-Reading (4-6 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading tasks

Students will read for the second time but with focusing on detail, teacher will set a task to find and answer 3 questions in the text, after they finish teacher will ask them to discuss them together before opening the whole class feedback. And the teacher will monitor.

Follow-up activity (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Students will be able to respond to the text and use the new vocabulary that they learned in conversation with their partners, and they will mangle to speak to many people in the same class. After they finish, they will get their feedback (Content-Language)
