The main aim of this lesson is to teach students travel-related vocabulary and improve their ability to use the first conditional and time clauses in conversation.
Subsidiary Aims

Students will expand their travel vocabulary, improve listening skills, practice speaking using the first conditional and discuss travel plans.
Procedure (53-79 minutes)
Start with a brief discussion about activities people do with friends. Show images of leisure activities like playing games and travelling. Have students discuss in pairs to share their experiences, setting the stage for the topic of travel.
Introduce travel-related vocabulary using images (e.g., booking a hotel, travel agency). Explain each term briefly, then play an audio text about travelling for students to listen to. Afterwards, have them role play the dialogue to practice the vocabulary and context. Ask comprehension questions to reinforce their understanding.
Focus on key vocabulary and first conditional usage with example sentences, clarifying common errors and rules.
Explain the first conditional and time clauses using travel-related examples. Ask students to create their own examples to ensure understanding.
Students will answer comprehension questions about the text. Then, they will complete worksheets on the first conditional and time cluses individually. The teacher will monitor students during the activities and provide feedback at the end, discussing answers together.
In pairs, students will look at travel-related images and create sentences using the first conditional and time clauses. They should describe their plans and what they will do in different scenarios. The teacher will provide support and feedback while students share their sentences.
In groups, students will discuss their travel plans to assigned countries, using vocabulary and structures from the lesson. Additionally, show students pictures related to various travel scenarios. They will create sentences using the first conditional and time clauses based on the images. The teacher will monitor and provide feedback as needed.
