In this lesson, students practice speaking about their homes and their rooms. After that they talk about places where they want to live, using prepositions of place.

Main Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of 'my home and my room' and 'my ideal home'.

To provide review of items in a room in the context of 'my room'
Procedure (29-43 minutes)
Lead-in (1-3 minutes) • To set the context and grab the attention of the students.
T displays a photo of a house and a flat then asks students where they live. T takes feedback from sts.
Language Exposure 'Nicole's room' (2-4 minutes) • To give students an example of how the target language is used and to review prepositions of place
Language practice 'Nicole's room' (3-5 minutes) • To practice speaking using the target language
Language practice 'my home' (8-10 minutes) • To practice asking and answering questions about 'my home'.
Language Exposutre 'Where do they live?' (3-5 minutes) • To clarify any new vocabulary and to prepare students for the production stage.
Language Practice of 'Ideal Home' (10-12 minutes) • To practice the target language
Wrap-up (2-4 minutes) • To remind the students of the different parts of the lesson
