in this lesson students will learn about present continuous in a reading about 2 persons who love their jobs they will also learn to have conversations more fluently

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (12-15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

asking about their weekends and the things they recently did i will elicit how much they know about the grammar i will also use some of the readings vocab in my sentences to make sure if they are familiar with the words

Exposure (10-12 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

talking about their priorities i will make them ready for the text they are about to read then i will give them a gist task

Highlighting (10-12 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

we will talk about the reading in groups or in WC to draw their attention to the grammar and the present tenses

Clarification (12-18 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

i will explain about the grammar completely and also write any unfamiliar word on the board and have a choral drilling

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

in this HO students need to choose between options

Semi-Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

students have to make sentences using the grammar

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

students will play a game which helps them understand the usage of new grammar better there will be two groups 1 person from each group will draw a situation on the board and the group will guess what is happening in the drawing
