Procedure (37-48 minutes)
Ss talk about the good universities. T says "Today I will make your dreams come true." *Ss write on a piece of paper in which university they would like to get into. *Ss get one of their friends paper but don't tell anyone. They are going to write a post at the end of the lesson.
Ss focus on T's example letter. *They have gist questions from the text. *Ss answer the questions and pair check. (Then check from the board.) Ss answer questions about details of the text. (Pair check and check from the board.)
Ss focus on the useful language from the exposure post. They study modals with the vocabulary from the context. *They fill in the blanks of the sentences using the modals given. (Pair check and T shows the answers) *Ss give advices according to the pictures. (Pair Check and T shows the answers.)
In the first productive activity, Ss will discuss and choose what to write in their post. They follow the T's order and get help from the bullet points (*University, *transport, *university's facilities, *lessons) from the board. *Ss change their groups and read the other group's post and then stick their posts to the board. In the freer productive activity, Ss will write a post for their friends who got into the university from the lead-in. *They congratulate and give some advice to their friend. *They stick their posts to the wall and each tries to find the post written for him/herself by their friends..
After finding their posts, Ss read the texts and check their mistakes with their pairs.
