Procedure (31-45 minutes)
Teacher shows a Picture on the board and ask Ss what the man is doing in the photo. Then he asks whether they get angry in this situation.Teacher elicits some anwers.
Teacher tells the Ss students to listen to 5 different people who get angry beacuse of bad manner and match the speakers with what they say. Ss listen and match the speakers.Then they peer check. Teacher monitors and then gives feedback.
Teacher divides the class in to two groups.He gives each group some pieces of papers.From these papers Ss will match the meanings of the sentences that speakers say in the listening text.Ss work in groups.Teacher monitors and then gives feed back.If the Ss can match all the manings correctly.The teachers provides controlled practice 2.If they can not match the meanings. teacher explains the meaning of have to should must,mustn't and don't have to.He asks CCQs to check the meaning.He applies controlled practice 3 first. Some possible CCQs Do you have to wear a uniform in IH Izmir?No Do we have to work on Sundays in Turkey?No Do we use must for personal or general obligations? personal Do I have to wear a shirt and a tie in IH Izmir?
