Procedure (39-47 minutes)
Ss are exposed to the word "habit" via the projector and are then asked to define the exact meaning, making sure that they understand the concept. They are then asked to tell their partners about two good and bad habits they have, followed by the second slide on the projector.
Students are given a task in which the pre and post stages of a man's like called Jack is being compared after winning a lottery. Ss are asked to work in groups and make statement regarding Jack. They are then given the instructions how to use the target language regarding Jack's situation. I am going to use CCQs here ( the ones mentioned earlier). Ss are also taught how to pronounce, write and make sentences in the negative and question forms. They are then given some more situations happening to other fictitious characters and are asked to make sentences about them
Ss are asked to come to the board (randomly) to mime the verbs given to them. They are then presented to the two types of verbs on the whiteboard and are then asked to match the verbs given to them to the two categories. Ss are then asked to make sentences with used to and would to see weather would can be used in states. They are then given the grammar paradigm presented by the book on page 25 to double-check their knowledge.
Ss are asked to do exercise 1 in pairs and check their answers with their partners. T then writes the answers on the board.
Ss are asked to do exercise 2 on page 25 in groups of 4.
Ss are asked to do exercise 6 on page 135 (given to them as hand-outs) individually and then check in groups. They are then given the answers by the teacher.
Ss are asked to rewrite the short text given by the book on page 135, exercise 7 and are then asked to check their answers in pars.
