Procedure (45 minutes)
• Ss work in pairs • Ss will see a picture of the T's dream holiday and they'll try to guess where is it and what the T. hopes to do there. • Ss discuss between each other and try to guess than the Ss will see the answer on the WB (slide) • Ss have to speak with a partner about their dream holiday and what is their plan for it.
• Ss work in pars • Ss will see that around the room there are notes with the TL written on them on the WB there are two columns: 'I have a plan' and I don't have a plan. • Ss should put the notes in the right column. There are two extra collocations. Ss should try and find them. • Ss discuss with the T. their answers. • Ss answer CCQ questions about the collocations and drill with the T. • Ss work in pairs. Each pair gets two cards with verbs. • Ss should match the verb with the collocation. • FB. Ss get the answers from the T.
• Ss work individually • Ss do an exercise. They have to choose the correct option (verb) for the collocation. • Ss check in pairs their answers • Ss get FB. They can see the answer on the WB
• Ss work individually • Ss choose one of the holidays from ex. 1 and 2, page 50 and answer individually the questions in exercise 2, page 51 • Now Ss work with a partner and tell him about their holiday. • T. monitors. DEC
• Ss work in pairs • Ss write an e - mail to their friend about their coming holiday in Izmir during August. • Ss write what is their plan for the holiday. Ss will have a paper and a marker. • Ss write their e - mail on the paper. They should write their names and put the email on the wall or the WB. • When Ss are ready all of us walk around and read the e-mails. • If time left we have a discussion about the most interesting e-mails.
