To practice in listening for specific information and for detail in the context of technology
Beginner level

Description

This lesson starts with a brainstorming map about the realias in the class that T points to Ss or the ones Ss might have already know related to the topic. With some ways to present new vocabulary such as vocabulary matching task, pictures, PW, and listening Ss practice how to say, write and use them. St are introduced to the usage of "I have/she has" by using the items of technology. This is followed by a WC task on how to say their e-mail address and how to obtain that information. Ultimately, Ss work on a listening task about how much technology is used at work.

T has the class tell their sentences one by one and show on WB which technological device is used more with the instruction "More people/less people have..."

Functional Language (8 minutes) • To write an e-mail address

-T writes her e-mail address on WB and has Ss read it, if it's not correct, helps them. Then T chooses one stronger student and asks her/his "What's your e-mail address?" WC write theirs on papers and mingle as a WC to ask each other.

Listening Tasks (10 minutes) • To practice listening for specific information and detail in the context

-T gives a clear instruction and play the audio. Ss listen and tick. Check answers and give the instruction for the second listening exercise. Peer check and let them listen it again, then T checks the answers with WC.
