Procedure (37-49 minutes)
T asks sts to stand up and T introduces himself and then T asks them to mingle and ask questions to get to know each other.(4 minutes)
T shows the pictures one by one - sticking them on the board. Elicit from the students how old you think eah person is. Introduce vocabulary to descibe life stages in context. put the sts into small groups asking them to think about which person or age group the words in bold describe. Give thme the cut-up sentences ang get sts to look at the sentences and discuss which person they represent. The ask the students to come to board and stick the sentences next to the appropriate picture. Check w/c that the answers are correct. (10 minutes)
T focuses on pronunciation of the new words. (3 minutes)
T explains possible problematic new words and their pronunciation. (10 minutes)
T gets the sts to make sentences using the words about people they know. T monitors and helps them use the words accurately. (8 minutes)
T asks sts what the advantages and disadvantages of each life stage. - groupwork - Sts discuss and compare their ideas. (8 minutes)
