Procedure (36-46 minutes)
T asks SS what they are doing at the moment and how they feel. T writes on WB two sentences: 1-I am listening to Seda.( Act.V) 2-I feel happy today.( SV)
T asks SS to underline the verbs in the sentences on the WB. T asks SS to work in pairs and discuss the difference between the two verbs. Elicit the correct answer from the SS-AV and SV- but if it is not possible explain the difference btw.them.
T explains to SS dynamic and stative meanings of the verbs: Most of verbs have dynamic meanings-they describe 'actions'-sth.happens.You can use them with continous forns to talk about activites in progress. e.g.: People are chatting Some verbs are connected with knowledge,emotion or possession have stative meanings.You cannot use them with continous forms. e.g.:I feel happy.
T asks SS to work in pairs and give them Task 1-Re-write sentences by putting the verb in present cont.tense. T asks SS to write the correct answers on WB. T introduce T 2 to SS-T asks them to work with a partner and decide if the verbs in brackets describe an action or a state and complete the sentences with appropriate form. T asks individual SS for correct answers and checks with the WC.
T asks SS to replace the names from the sentences in Task 2 with the names of the SS in the class-mingling. T asks SS for a couple of examples and gives them handouts.
