To provide specific information listening practice using a text about health problem in the context of sickness
Procedure (67-90 minutes)
T will start the class with some act. T is going to start the class with a little cough and runny nose and T will say sorry today I'm not feel so well and with body language t will tell the ss that she is sick with some symptoms. then T write some sentences on the WB and as she is writing she says these are the sentences you can use to tell that you are not all right! then T throws the ball to random ss they should say that they're not fine!
T will play a video about the health problem, then T will some flashcards to ss and they will repeat after T. The flashcards are about sickness. then T will do some mime and ss should guess. then the s who could guess should mime and another one should answer.
Now it's time to ss knows the treatment so they watch another video. T will play a video for them and they will learn some simple treatments. and then T will ask them:(what is the treatment for each sickness.) T HO some pieces of paper and two by two they have roll play as a patient and doctor. Now it's time for book. we are going to open the book and we will do the listening.
T will write the name of the sickness on the WB, and call s to come by. T give a ball to s to hit the sickness which is called by T. If the s could hit the sickness on the board, he is the winner and he can choose the next s. But before that s should answer and mime that sickness and give the treatment.
T HO some worksheet to SS and they have to work by themselves, and then we check together. Then 2by2 will come and take a Ping-Pong paddle and a ball, 1by1 the play and say a symptom and what should they do. like: I've got headache, I should rest. then is his/her friends turn. we keep playing until one of them be loser.
t will HO some paper with some sickness name but one of them is MAD NURSE. one by one they should whisper to the person who is sitting next to them, what is their symptom. like(I've got a stomachache) but when somebody told to next person I'm a mad nurse, after that the next patient should whisper to next one's ear (I've got headache but there was a mad nurse) 2 people at the end of the game should guess who was the mad nurse. If they could the whole patient will be winner
at the end of the class the wc will speak about the sickness and they should say what is the best treatment.
