Description

in this lesson,sts speak about music and its impact on life related to American english file 4 unit B6 .at first they talk about music's position in their life .they're going to read a text related to music to get an overview of the context.this is followed by answering some open questions and they're going to explain their reasons, during this part T is going to teach new words .finally as error correction,T write sentences with error and ask sts to correct them.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

i ask them some questions to lead them to the context of music. -how often do you listen to music -tell me about your favorite singer if you could play an instrument what would it be i give them time to think in pairs i monitor them i ask for report give feedback

Demonstration (2-3 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading

sts will read a sample text to get an overview of the context and review their knowledge about music and it would boost their confidence to speak because they would have a viewpoint.

Useful Language (4-6 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

i ask some questions and teach them some useful vocabulary during their speaking.for some of these questions they will work in pair and for other they do them alone. i monitor them i CCQ new words to clarify the meaning,form and pronunciation of the words. i drill the words (solo and choral)

Productive Task(s) (6-8 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

i wait for them to talk and if they need help or they need a vocab.i'll help them . i correct their mistake (but not all of them because i dont want to make them embarrased.) i give them feedback (Prasing)

Feedback and Error Correction (2-2 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

i write a sentences (based on their mistakes that i heard during listening and monitoring them ) and ask them to think in pairs to find the mistake in the sentence. At the end i praise their efforts
