In this lesson students learn how to introduce themselves and have basic communication beside learning some grammar about making negative sentences.

Procedure

Warmer (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I have provided some pictures of a job and it’s workplace to let students get familiar with the general subject and get warmed in order to start the lesson

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To make sure the students are completely familiar with the subject

I’m going to check some words with them and pre teach some jobs then I will give them some pictures to fill in the blanks with correct answer

Clarification (9-12 minutes) • Listening. To teach students basic interview and help them understand what should they say

I will give them some pieces of papers from their own book and will role play a listening tape myself and ask them to work in pairs and fill in the blanks just to make their ears familiar with the situation

Reading passage (7-10 minutes) • Enhance their reading about relevant subjects

I will give them one of the pages of their own book to read in 3 minutes and answer my easy questions about that, by the way most my questions are Yes/No questions and the answers are No to help them get ready for grammar point of this unit which is learning to give Negative answers

WB questions (9-12 minutes) • Teaching new grammar point and repeat jobs

Write 2 question on the board and ask students to answer Q1 What do you do for a living? Q2 Are you a (wrong job to get a negative answer)?

Free practice (play game) (10-13 minutes) • Clarify everything with a fun game to make sure they have got everything

I will call students to the board to play pantomime with job names and after they told the correct answer I will ask a negative Yes/No question to make sure they understood how to make negative To be answers
