Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (10-15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I'm going to write few containers on the board. then I explain a situation and put ss in a that with some questions and we are going to have a roll play with WC. "There is a restaurant that we all are in and they are all teacher's guests so they can order anything they want." then I will start ordering: I want a piece of cake I want a glass of juice and I ask to them too. they will use new grammar and vocabs unintentionally.

Exposure (11-15 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I'm going to teach the grammar and make it clear for them to understand. ss will learn new containers and we will do choral drilling. they should find out the difference between countable and uncountable nouns / how much, how many a lot of. after we did drilling I will CCQs and ICQs ICQs; 1)can I use many/ much for tea/water/apple/jam/cookies? 2)do you use many/much for negative sentences? 3)do you use many/much for countable/uncountable? CCQs: 1)Draw three pictures on board and ask them which is suitable for each.(alot/alittle(not much)/none 2) how much sugar/ salt is there in soup/chocolate/water/tea/...?

Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

first they should do the activities in the book on page 70. then T HO some colorful paper to ss. when T says they can take a look and see what color is it. two by two with same color they should sit together and ask question with how much sugar or salt is there in some food. As they are doing T should monitor them.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-12 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

I prepared some shopping list and I will give those to some of them, they should remember their shopping list as well. one by one ss will come and T will give them the ping pong paddle and a ball as they are playing, they should say what was on their list.T will give a small prize to winners.

Free Practice (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

all the ss are on their chair. teacher should start the game. I say something like: "last night I ate a jar of honey" (the sentences must to have the containers.) then I throw the ball to one s. the s should say my sentence and add one more like: "last night I ate a jar of honey and a slice of pizza." we will continue the game untill one s say wrong and we'll be finished.

speaking time (10-15 minutes) • ss learn to use how much/how many

first they should do the practice on page71.then they should ask the same questions to each other.
