To provide clarification, practice and review of specific vocabulary in the context of "shopping for food" and express opinions about weird food.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversations in the context of Shopping for food to express opinions about weird food.
Procedure (39-51 minutes)
- I will start with eliciting the situation that we are going to invite some body and we need to go shopping. - I will show them picture of people gathering for a feast, this will help them engage in the context. - I will write a list of food on the white board to help doing the next stage. - FB
now the list of food is on the WB. I will ask student to take the pictures and stick each picture next to its meaning ( 2 groups). I am going to read through the list and check if the learners know what they mean. I may add some new pictures. I will ask students : which of the food on the shopping list do you like? discuss in pairs. then I give them hand out for vocabulary exercise. (pair work).
I will give the students handouts that contains articles and they will work on pairs to know which picture Charlie is talking about. students will scan reading to know which fruits are included in the text.
I will elicit the meaning of I prefer and I'd rather have to the students. i will give some examples. after that, I will ask the students to read the article again in one minute. After that i will ask learners to cover the article and then they will match match the phrases given to them in the exercise.
in this stage students will give their opinions about fruits and vegetables using the phrases they learned in the target language. students will use 'I'd rather and I prefer' in their discussions.
