Procedure (40-40 minutes)

Lead-in (5-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Instructions: I want you to all think about what age you were when you left your parents' home and lived on your own. I want you to write how old you were and what the reason was. Maybe some of you still live at home with your parents? If so, think of when you will move out and what the reason will be. Take about three minutes to think about it, then work in pairs to discuss your similarities or differences. ICQs: Task: Pair Check: Yes Feedback: WCFB

Pre-teach vocabulary (10-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible and to teach any blocking vocabulary.

Detailed Listening #2 (10-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed listening tasks
