Procedure (21-29 minutes)
having taught how to tell the time in English, the teacher tries to elicit some information about their daily routine. Then the teacher writes some sample sentences on the board.
At this point the teacher asks each student to take out a piece of paper and write 5-7 questions about their friends' daily routines. They are supposed to divide the questions into columns and write their friends' names on top. Then the students are supposed to stand up and ask each other the questions and write the time.
while the students are talking, the teacher monitors them and takes some notes to give them feedback later. He/ she also listens to check students' pronunciation and intonations.
The teacher explains what they should do next. Finally, The students are supposed to go to the board and talk about their friends' activities in a typical day. The focus is on how they make sentences of the questions written on the paper and add the third person 's' to their sentences. Sample sentences follows like this: Mike gets up at 8 but Jack doesn't get up at 8. He gets up at 8:30. Annie takes a shower at 7:30 but David doesn't take a shower at 7:30. He takes a shower at 8.
