Receptive skills (2-5 minutes) • What are receptive skills?

Reading and listening

Reading ex. 2 (5-5 minutes) • Statements True or False

Pets and their owners. Describe picture on pg. 56

Reaction (5-5 minutes) • "What do you think about the text?" and Ex.3

Ex. 3 Do you know anyone who has a pet? Do you think they and their pet are alike? Work in pairs or groups.

Photos (10-15 minutes) • Photos A-E

Listening ( not recording) Which photo is which animal? Ss listen to main point (recording) ex. 5a. Work in pairs Ss discuss 5b, listen to 5b, again (recording)

Vocabulary (Personality) (10-10 minutes) • Vocabulary

Review meaning of words in ex. 6a. Work in groups or pairs.

Match words (5-10 minutes) • Match vocabulary

Use words from previous example.

Write a paragraph (10-15 minutes) • Talk in front of class

Write a short paragraph(work in pairs.) Read in front of class.
