In this lesson students are Going to learn about plans and predictions with to be + going to . They are will do some task in book to be sure they get the point and be able to talk about their plans and predictions.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of plans and predictions in the context of Holiday

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of Holiday

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage Teacher will talk about things he/she is going to do in the next weekend. teacher will going to use (to be going to) for plans and prediction , then Teacher will make the students to get familiar with TL .

Exposure (5-6 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

In this stage Teacher will ask students to talk about their plans for next weekend .

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

In this stage Teacher will write some of the sentence (1 or 2 is enough )that student have made in the correct form to draw their attention to Target Language.

Clarification (9-11 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

In this stage teacher will draw Timeline And will ask some CCQ (is past , future or present ; future. ) ( are these action fix? ; no) and Teacher will clarify structure of the sentence and elicit how to form the it . we use to be going to + base form to talk about future plans or intentions . We also use be going to + base form to make predictions when we or that can something is going to happen for example : its winter there so its going to be cold . or look at that car its going to crash .

Controlled Practice (7-11 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

In this stage teachers will asks students to Do practice a and b (3A) in grammar Banks page 131 . they 4 min for a and 3 min for b and after they done, we will check their answers in 2 min .

Free Practice (6-9 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

And for the final stage Students will talk about their full plans for next Holiday in Group of 3 And they will tell the class who has the best plans .
