Description

In this lesson students get to practise the past simple tense with a focus on irregular verbs. The lesson includes different practising activities ranging from controlled to freer ones. The lesson starts with a review of the grammar done through an additional exercises as a lead into the lesson. Further controlled practice will be provided in PW where students talk and locate differences between two pictures depicting a few birthday activities. It is followed with a memory game which allows students have semi-controlled practice. For freer practice the students are set in groups to talk about their real life past celebrations. A review activity is also placed at the end to refresh what students have learnt.
