Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Display the picture of a famous album and ask SS the next questions: -Do you recognize this person? -What is the name of this album? -Some people say it is the bes album ever, do you agree? Exposure (4-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Gist Send a link to solve a task in Google Forms, show the image of a text and give 1 minute to read quickly the text and solve the question in section number one: Which paragraph does not talk about a musician? (number 3) Ask them to say the answer. Detail Mention that they have three spaces in the paragraphs and show them three missing sentences, ask them to match them. Give 3 minutes for this activity. ICQs: how much time do you have? ( 3 minutes) / What do you have to match? MEANING Show SS the first 3 slides in Jamboard, each slide has two questions with two answers, ask them to move the answer to match it with the question, give 3 minutes ICQs: How many slides do you have to answer? (3) / how much time do you have? (3 min) Answers: 1-b / 2a 1-a / 2-b 1-b / 2-a Mention that we will check passive voice and the difference between present simple passive and past simple passive FORM Be + -ed The most common passive structure is be + -ed form Ask SS to see the next slide and the sentence in it, work together to identify the parts of the sentence that they have below and order them. Give 2 minutes in BORs.
