In this lesson students are going to listen to a video blog of the lazy person's guide to a clean and neat home

Main Aims

To provide detailed listening practice using a text about cleaning in the context of the lazy person's guide to a clean and neat home

Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of cleanin

Procedure (28-39 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage studentst

I will talk to stuendts about how i always keeps my house clean and ask them if they clean their rooms regularly?

Pre-Reading/Listening (5-6 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

the students will be informed about the meaning of the following vocabularies used in the text by writing them on the board and help them understand better by showing them pictures or tell them the synonym or opposite word neat , efficient , tricks , load the dishwasher , detergent , squeeze , flip flops , vacuum

While-Reading/Listening #1 (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

the students will listen to the audio file and try to answer part b page 31 and fill the blanks

While-Reading/Listening #2 (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

students will be asked to read the questions on page 31 part c and the audio file will be played again the students need to answer the questions . they will have 3 mins to check their answers in pairs then we will check the answers with the whole class.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

students will be asked to talk to each other in groups of 2 or 3 about any cleaning tricks that they know or how to make cleaning easier and fun
