Procedure (32-45 minutes)
T will show on the projector a figure trying to make a decision which way he should decide to go. T will ask the students did they have such a situation? T will tell a story about a decision she had to make in the past to get them engaged. T will discuss the following questions in groups: Are you good at making decisions or not?
T will give the students a handout to read the text in three minutes and will ask them to choose the main idea of the text. In pairs, Students will check their answers. Then, T will check the answers with the students. Feedback: PW, WC.
T will give the students a handout to match the beginnings of the sentences with the ending using the text. Students will read the text again and answer the questions. Students work in pairs and check their answers. T will give students a handout with questions about the text to read and answer the questions. Students work in pairs and check. T will give answers sheet to have check their answers in the whole class. Feedback: Check in pairs, whole-class eliciting.
T will put Ss in groups of four or three and give them a set of cards including words (taken from the text) with their meanings and ask them to match the words to their meanings. When they finish, teacher will ask each group to go around and check the answers of other groups. T will the answer sheets on their tables to have them check the answers. T will elicit the pronunciation of the words from the students and write on the board.
T projects topics for discussion on the board: Are you good at making decisions or not? If you find it hard to make a decision, what do you usually do? Students will read the question and write about how do they make a decision. When they finish, T will ask the students to give their opinions as a whole class.
