Procedure (13-20 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The teacher is going to talk about learning a new language ,its process,their interes also asking some questions like; Are people from your country good at learning languages? Why (not)? Do you think Americans are good at learning your language? And asking the same questions match with the the context

Pre-Reading/Listening (3-6 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

In this stage the teacher is going to teach the students some key vocabularies of the text using some pictures and materials to help them learn better. The students are going to match some pictures and definitions in order to internalizing the memorizing the new words. Then they are going to check their answers in pairs and at the end with the whole class

While-Reading/Listening #1 (3-4 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students are going to answer the question:(part B) They are given about 2 minutes to read the whole reading and share their answer with the class.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (3-4 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The Students are going to read the text deeper and answer the questions related to the part C. They will check their answers in pairs and then with the whole class.

Post-Reading/Listening (2-3 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The students are going to be divided into groups of 2 and talk about some prepared questions like:Have you ever... • spoken to a tourist in English? When? Why? • needed to speak in English on the phone? Who to? What about? • sent an email in English? Who to? What was it about? • seen a movie or video clip in English? Which? How much did you understand? • read a book or magazine in English? Which one(s)? • asked for directions in English in a foreign city? Where? • used an app or website to improve your English? Which one?
