Procedure (37-43 minutes)
Start the lesson by showing a picture of a village house to students. Tell them that it's your family house. Tell a small anecdote about it to set the context and create interest in the topic. Try to elicit some vocabulary during this part.
Distribute Matching Exercise to Sts and tell them to match the picture to the words. Give them 2 minutes for this task. Tell them to compare their answers in pairs. Give WC feedback.
Show three pictures of the three cities to Sts and ask them if they know the cities. Instruct them to make predictions about where the cities are in pairs. Try to elicit where the cities are. Nominate some students to put the pictures on the right place on the world map which is already hanged on the wall. After that try to elicit which is a big city, a small town and a village. Help them with the pronunciation of the words. Elicit the name of the buildings that are in the picture.
Tell the students that they are going to listen to a recording about the three cities that they talked about in the previous part. Distribute Exercise 2. Give them 30 seconds to read the questions. Play the track and when it finishes tell the students to pair check their answers. give whole class feedback.
Put the students into group of three. Distribute Exercise 3 to students after instructing them that they are going to find out which conversation talks about the things on Exercise 2. Play the track and let them check their answers. If they cannot complete the task play the track one more time.
Put the students into groups of three. Tell them to discuss which place why would like to go: Eyeries, Birsbane, Burford. Tell them to give reason why they want to go there. Nominate students to share their discussion with the whole class.
