Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

After greeting I will ask them to open their books, before grammar there is a text about the United States. to engage them I will ask them some questions to elicit structures. For example, what do you think about USA? what do you guess about Americans?

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

In this text there is some questions about Americans, at first, I ask them to read questions and answer them in the class. then I ask them to read text a once and check their answers. then I read the text aloud to the class paragraph by paragraph, checking and explaining the meaning of any words they don't know. After text there are some questions, and I ask them to look at the text and answer them 1=why do some verbs end in s? 2=write she\he\it forms of these verbs change\cook\talk\go\eat 3=find 2 negative verbs, how are they different from affirmative A(for she\he\it) B(for all other persons? so, I prepared some ICCQ sentence 1=DO we look at highlighted verbs in the text? YES 2=DO we find answer in the text? Yes 3=Do we look at negative and affirmative verbs? Yes

Teach (15-25 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

In this part I will ask them to close their books then I will write some negative and affirmative sentences according to the text on the board and I will highlight the verbs. And ask them to tell me what the connection between verbs and subjects is (affirmative forms\affirmative). After discovery learning I will show them S in the verbs of third person. I will say about DO\DOES that they are helper verbs and don't have specific meaning and how delete S from the verb of third person in negative sentence.at the end of I will say when we use simple present and what is the different between simple present and present continuous by some examples. And make them notice to CCQ 1=Do we use them in unstable situations? No 2=Do we use them for habits? Yes 3=Do we use them for facts? Yes Now I will ask them to open their books and go on page 128 look at the sentences and listen to the audio and also, I ask them to read the structures and examples for themselves.

Test #2 (8-20 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

I have them to do exercise on page 129 by themselves and then check their answers with their partners. ICCQ for exercise A DO we pay attention on subjects? Yes Do we change the verb in correct forms? Yes ICCQ for exercise B Do we make a negative sentence? Yes Do we match the subject with verb? Yes For more practice I will give them some Hand outs and ask them to complete them in the class in pairs. ICCQ Do we pay attention to the subjects? Yes Do we choose the correct verb? YES

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Now I ask them to change their seats and put them in new pairs I will ask them to tell their partners about their habits and what they do on their free times? then I will ask them to stand up and say about his\her partner's habits and activates on free time.
