1 - T sets the task for 'guess the place' game and asks the Sts to work in groups of 3 or 4 and each Sts gives a description of his town and that places there, the other Sts from the same group have to guess the place. 2 - T gives a HO for a speaking activity and asks the Sts to choose their town, city or a village in their country and tick the things in the HO that are in this place. After that, Sts work in different groups of 3 or 4 and tell each other about their favorite places, each group chooses one favorite place and why at the end of this task. 3 - T asks Sts to choose a city from another country, not their country, and write about the things that are in this city. Sts work in different groups of 3 or 4 and share ideas and opinions and choose one city at the end and why. 4 - The Sts are divided into groups of 3 or 4 then T asks them to make their own town. They have to give it a name and add good places to it. After that, the Sts stand up and mingle and try to convince other students to join and live with them in their town. The groups that has the most numbers of people wins. T takes notes of any errors in use of language to provide feedback and error correction in the next stage.
T uses the notes that he has taken in the previous stage to highlight and any errors in use of language and writes them on the WB to provide an open class feedback. T elicits the reason why they are wrong and the correction for them to maximizes STT and minimizes TTT.
T divides the Sts into 3 groups and then set the task for the 'Hot Seat' game to review the vocabulary that the Sts have studied before. T changes the game to 'Hangman' to review vocabulary and also spelling in a competition between the groups.
