Procedure (31-49 minutes)
I will ask them to close their books, and I will ask them some questions about their families. For example: Do you have a specific memory with your family? tell me, please do you like eating meals with your family? Why?
I elicit some vocabs from reading that I know Ss won't know the meaning in advanced. I will give them hand outs and ask them to match the meaning of vocabs. for some other vocabs I prepare pictures and show them. now I use CCQ to be sure they get the meaning. For example, 1= left over food Is it good for our healthy? NO Is it nutritious? NO when you have it, do you need to cook? NO 2= sibling rivalry Is it a good behavior? NO Can it make a good relation between sisters or brothers? No can it make divorce between sisters or brothers? yes Is it a competition? Yes
Now I will play audio for them and ask them to listen to it carefully (For increasing their pronunciations) then I ask them to summarize the reading with their partners and they must use new vocabs and used to grammar in their summary
now I ask them, according to the text why is better for families to eat together more often? and I will give them some tasks, so I use ICCQ for this part 1= look at these sentences and write true or false 2=fill gaps these sentences with correct vocabs. 3=find incorrect verb and correct them.
