Procedure (31-45 minutes)
T will ask students 'What did you do on your weekend?'. T will elicit answers from students and write them on the board.
T will explain the past simple by adding -ed to the regular verbs. T will explain also the irregular verbs that they are verbs which have different form from the regular verbs. T will give handouts to students to fill the table with regular and irregular verbs. Students work in pairs. Students will listen to the recording 2.17 to check their answers. T will divide the class into two groups, giving each group 5 cards and asking group A to say a verb and group B will give the answer. Then T will ask students to find his partner in verb and sit together. Students will change their seats.
T will give handouts to students asking them to fill in the gaps. Students will fill in the gap using the pronouns 'I' and 'We' and the verbs. T will module one sentence on the white board. Students will work in pairs. T will ask the students to check their answers. T will give key answers to students for check.
