Description

in this lesson the students are going to meet their teacher for the first time. there will be discussions an introductions between the students and teachers and students themselves. then an introduction to the material and textbooks then a lesson about basic sentence structure.

Main Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of family

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Students watch a video for one minute then discuss their opinions and what they learned from it with the teacher. (think-pair-share)

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Teacher shares school and class rules with students and ensures they acquire a certain grasp of the basics of the regulations. students ask questions about school rules and how the class will be run.

Exposure (8-15 minutes) • To provide context for the target language though introducing each other.

Teacher introduces himself and then each students introduces himself in front of other students, then talk about their interests in language and about the hardships and difficulties they face during studying the language.

Clarification (10-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Students watch a video about someone who mispronounces all the words and makes grammatical mistakes when he talks. then they discuss the mistakes and share it with each other. the teacher illicit the basic sentence structure then write it on the board and use it to come up with other sentences.

FAQ (3-5 minutes) • To provide students with the chance to ask questions about what they have to do.

students ask questions about the material and the school regulations in general. teacher provides answers to the questions the students asked.
