Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T displays a video of Mohamed Henedy in ''yana yakhalty'' while he is wasting money T elicits the topic from students after watching the video T asks SS: do you waste money like this person or are you a saver? T asks a lead-in question: Think of someone you know who gives good money advice. What advice does he/she give you? Tell a partner T asks students to check their answers together T asks two of the students about a person who gave them money advice

Pre-Reading/Listening (2-3 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T introduces the topic and explains to the SS three hard words prior to the audio T highlight the meaning, pronunciation, and the form of skiing, senator, and senate building T asks CCQS: do you ski on the land or on the snow? Is a senator part of political group or sports one? T tells ss that they are going to listen to an audio

While-Reading/Listening #1 (3-5 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

T tells ss that they are going to listen to an audio without focusing on each detail and match the pictures they have in the book with the three stories they hear T asks ss to do it alone T asks ICQS: will you listen only or listen and match the pictures? will you work alone or with your partner? T asks ss to check their answers with their partner T check the answers with the ss

While-Reading/Listening #2 (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

T shows the students sentences and ask them to work with their partner and try to remember the audio to check whether theses sentences are true or false with correcting the false ones T asks ICQS: will you work alone or with your partner? how many min do you have? will you write true or false only or you will correct the false ones ? T asks ss if they agree on all the points T makes ss to listen carefully again to the audio to check their answers alone T shows the correct answers

Post-Reading/Listening (7-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T asks ss to answer the question in letter E with their partner T asks ss to see which one has the same ideas as theirs T monitors T asks two of the students to collect the content feedback
