To provide clarification, review and practice of present simple in negative and question forms in the context of evenings and weekends.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in positive, negative, and question forms in the context of present simple.
Procedure (38-50 minutes)
Focus Ss on TL from previous exercises 1-4 Ss make sentences using free time activities vocabulary from 1a Write some of these sentences on w/b Give form of positive present simple
Ask Ss to make the negative of the sentences on w/b Preset the meaning and form Ask CCQs to check understanding Ss do ex5
Ss do ex 6a, they tick true sentences for them while make other sentences negative Review me too and teach me neither Get Ss work in paris to compare answers using me too/I don't, me neither/Oh, I do. Do FB as necesary
Ask Ss to make Qs from previous sentences on w/b Present the form and meaning Get Ss do ex 7 Give Ss a vocabulary ask them to change it positive, negative, & question with short answers. Now Pay attention to drilling to practice positive, negative, & questions of TL
Get Ss do ex 8a using do, don't, or an infinitive from the box given Ss compare with partners Get Ss do ex8b, they listen and practice
Tell Ss a well-known celebrity will arrive at the airport for a visit Ss imagine they are a TV interviewer and prepare some Do you... Qs to ask the star Do you like our country? Do you like spicy food? Do you like museums? Ss then role play in pairs: Celebrity and TV interviewer
