Teacher gives instructions on the activity: T will provide a video with two different conversations and a slide with 10 sentences ( 7 right and 3 wrong) – Ss will watch the video and tick the sentences they hear in the conversations – T will give feedback on the activity if students couldn’t pick all the sentences form the video or wrong sentences were picked. • Yes, you could be right • I think it might be better to try something different • Why don't you talk to her about it? • That's a good idea • Well, I really don't think you're going to lose your job • Yes, that makes sense • I suggest taking her out for a really nice meal • Maybe you should sleep in separate rooms • How about going for a walk to clear your mind?" • Perhaps you ought to spend more time together
T will explain meaning using google slides – T will give Ss a fill in the blanks exercise with nine sentences – Ss will work in pair - Ss will drag from the word box the correct one to each sentence – Ss then will categorize the sentences into making suggestions, agreeing And disagreeing – T will provide feedback on the activity T will, explain form using google slides - T will give Ss an exercise using marker sentences – T will categorize marker sentences (making suggestions, agreeing and disagreeing) – Ss will drag and drop in each sentence different parts of speech ( subject – modal verbs – verb + Ing -complements – conjunctions – base form of the verb-adjectives, etc.,) – Ss after completing the exercise will give feedback and explanation on each category. T will explain pronunciation using google slides – T will show five marker sentences in which Ss will have to place a symbol above parts of the sentence remarking stress, intonation and linking – T will play a recording of each sentence to give Ss a model – Ss will repeat the pronunciation of each sentence after completing it to reinforce and internalize proper pronunciation – t will monitor and correct proving feedback in real- time. T will explain appropriacy using marker sentences - T will provide Ss a google form link - Ss will do an exercise in which they will have nine marker sentences and will categorize them into formal and informal – once the activity is finished T will explain Ss each sentence reflecting in pronunciation – meaning an body language of each one.
T will share a google form link – this document will have ten marker sentences – Ss working individually will categorize each sentence into making suggestions, agreeing And disagreeing – Ss will submit their responses – T will show responses and give the correct answers and respective feedback. • Suggestions: 1. "Well, have you tried talking to him about it?" 2. "Perhaps you ought to spend more time together." 3. "Maybe you should sleep in separate rooms." 4. "Well, why don't you talk to her about it?" 5.
