• To provide speaking practice in a pair work and in groups in the context of colours (like and don’t like )
Procedure (45-74 minutes)
T greets Ss T asks Ss what colour/colours is she wearing . T asks Ss to look at their partner and ask them about the colour their are wearing ? T elicit some question from the Ss ? What colour is your jacket ? what color is your T_shirt ? T gives Ss one minute to ask ans answer about the colours . T asks CCQs 1.Are you going to write or talk ? Ss (talk) 2.How much time do you have ? Ss (1 min ) Ss work T monitors to 1. make sure that Ss are participating . 2. to decide whether or not to test Ss again on colours by showing pictures using the projector . T finishes the activity by asking Ss few question to show interest in the discussion they were having about colours .
T shows Ss the handout . T asks Ss to look at the first exercise . T tells Ss that they are going to listen and fill in the gaps with the first letter of persons's name ( Olga , Ben and Donna ) O B D ? T asks if all of them like the same colour what will you write in the gab ? Ss (O B D ) T gives Ss the HO . T plays the recording. T asks Ss to check together . T asks Ss to listen again to check their answers .
T asks Ss to read and listen to Sentences in exercises 2.a T drills the sentences chorally and individually T draws table on the board ; in the right side T writes positive and in the lift side T writes negative. T only writes the pronouns I , she , He and they and one sentences. 1. I like black clothes 2.He......................... 3.she........................ 4.They...................... T asks Ss to work in groups of three and try to complete the table. If all Ss (12 that often attend ) attend T will have 4 groups , each group will write two sentences except the first group . T asks the class to look at the table. T asks the class if the sentences are correct .
T uses the table that Ss has filled in the previous stage to clarify the form and pronunciation of the TL T makes some changes to highlight the main form and the (s) in likes and in doesn't T tries to elicit from the Ss that we can either put a pronoun or a noun (name) T asks one of the girls if she likes black clothes ? T ask SS to make a sentences about (her) . (Name) likes black clothes = she like black clothes . T clarify that we say doesn't with z like boys and girls which Ss took in the last lesson. T does drill for doesn't in a sentence . Ex she doesn't like black clothes .
T asks Ss to look at 2 b . T makes sure that Ss are looking at exercise two . T asks ss to work alone and make the sentence negative . T reminds Ss that they only have 3 minutes T asks ICQs Are you going to work alone or in pairs. Ss (alone) How many minutes do you have ? Ss work T Monitors . when Ss finish T asks them to look at the answer key which posted around the class .
T reminds Ss of Olga , Ben and Donna . T asks Ss to read the sentences in 2c about Olga , Ben and Donna . T makes sure that Ss are looking at exercises 2c. T asks Ss to decide whether the sentences are true or false and correct the false ones. T tells SS that they only have 3 minuets to finish the exercise . T asks ICQs . Are the sentences about you or about Olga Ben and Donna ? Are you going to work alone or in pairs ? Ss(alone) T does nominal feedback Ss work T monitors. Ss finish T asks Ss to check their answers in pairs.
T tells SS three sentences her . A. I like black clothes. B. I don't like red clothes. C.I don't wear jeans. T writes the beginning of the sentences T puts Ss in groups and tell them to tell their group two or three sentences about themselves , what they like to wear and what they don't wear . T tells Ss to take notes about their friends in the groups because they going to tell the other groups about their group . T tells one of the Ss about her (I like black clothes ) what about you ? S says the example T writes his/her name and the colour he/she likes. T uses the board as her own paper (Habiba) likes red clothes. s work monitors to 1.make sure that all Ss are participating . 2 .help Ss if needed. 3.collect errors. When Ss finish T asks them to share some ideas with the class.

T guesses , T says ''she is my sister ) T ask them to write 2 sentence about their families or friends. Write what the person like /doesn't like to wear .write his/her name next to the sentences. T asks Ss not to say whether he/she is from your family or a friend. T tells Ss to tell their partner their sentences and let them guess who the person is a friend or a family member . Ss finish , T invites Ss to talk about their partners family or friends .
