Procedure (33-48 minutes)
I will narrate a fake story about a lady expressing her life and possessions including all possessive adjectives highlighted in the attached word document which is displayed by the projector .
Handouts will be distributed to students .After reading the three examples I will ask two questions on WB (when is your birthday ? ,when are your birthdays ?)the first question is for one student and the second is for many in the class. Here I'm going to elicit the first rule that "your" is used for both singular and plural . In pairs,they will to fill the table by possible nouns based on their discussion with their partners to elicit the rule possessive adjectives is followed by "nouns".
Students are going to answer exercise 1 in the first HO then check in their group before a WC FB .
Receptionist is elicited after paying students' attentions to the 3rd picture page 13. In 2nd HO individually students are going to read the dialogue in exercise 2 and choose the correct option .They will check answers in their groups before a WC FB . Exercise 6 page 137 is going to be answered as a group work followed by WC FB .
A list of questions is handed out to students e.g ( what is your phone number ? or What is your wife's/ husband's name? etc ) ,and they are supposed to use possessive adjectives to answer .
I will draw a table that differentiates between possessive pronouns and the contractions of subject pronouns with verbs be ( their and they're , his and he'd , your and you're ).
