Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will talk about the things that I did yesterday, I will use some of the past simple regular and irregular verbs that my students can get familiar with that.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will ask my students to talk about the things that they have done yesterday.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Writing some sentences on the board base on regular and irregular verbs.by asking my students.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I will show them a text and they will listen to the audio file then do part 2a and after that I will show them a chart about simple past regular and irregular verbs, then I am going to show them a chart about simple present and simple past after that and they will do part 3a.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The students are going to do exercise 11B on page 112, they have 5 min, and they will have 2 min to check their answers with a partner and we will check it with the whole class.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I will ask them to do part 3B
