Description

In this lesson we are going to listen to a man talking about 12 wallets which have been lost and the number of wallets that had been returned by the citizen

Main Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about the most and least honest cities in the world in the context of the loyal citizen in each cities

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of using the superlatives

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

the students will be asked if they have ever found a wallet in their life? did they try to return it ?in the process of returning the wallet ;were they successful or not ?have they received any reward from the owner or not?

Pre-Reading/Listening (4-6 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The students will be informed about the meaning of the following vocabularies in the text by trying to match the meaning of the words with the vocabularies individually

While-Reading/Listening #1 (5-6 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The picture of the book will be demonstrated . I want one of my students to read the test of the listening and and asking them to read part B and answer the questions individually . Therefore I am going to play the audio file for them

While-Reading/Listening #2 (6-9 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The stude3nts will be asked to read the questions on page 41` part B and question 1 and 2 then the audio file will be play again . The students need to choose one of A B C D E for the answer of question and then they are going through question number 2 . the answers will be checked with WC ANY PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED

Post-Reading/Listening (3-4 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

THE STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO read part E and think about it for some second and then talk about it in the groups pf 3 or 4
