Description

In this lesson students will learn about present continuous tense .This lesson is designed according to the PPP method; at first Students engaged with pictures and some questions about a picture for example what are people doing in this picture? Then audio is played and Students repeat .After than some sentences are written on the board and clarification is done. Our class continues with some controlled practice and semi _controlled practice ,and finally Students speak about their family members (what are they doing now?)and make sentences

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

First I ask them to close their books and look at the poster and I am going to ask them about some questions like: what do see in this picture ? what people do in this picture? then ask them to say about what activity do you see for example: run walk and... . elicit the sentence as much as possible.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I am going to play audio (about the story of the poster) for them and ask them to repeat. then I am going to mime some actions that said in this audio for example run and ask them Am I running or walking? and get students involved answering questions by with asking these kind of questions.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I replay an audio and I am going to ask them repeat the continuous verb

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

At this part I will write a sentence on the WB and explain the forms of the grammar and (negative| positive) and how to make a present continuous sentence and its formula .Then I will write some verbs on the board and make different sentence with them then I will ask them to change subject and make new sentence and read their sentences.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I will give them some hand outs and ask them to fill the gaps by their own.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Now I will let them to open their books and complete the tasks in their books then I put them in a pair and they have to talk about their family members for example what are they doing right now?( they have to use p.continuous)

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

After talking bout their family , Now I will ask each pair what her/his partner"s family members are doing now?
