Main Aims

  • By the end of this session students will be able to make sentences using the target vocabulary, guided by the teacher.

Subsidiary Aims

  • By the end of this session ss will be able to use target vocabulary writing a short story.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage the teacher will act some of the verbs and ask students to guess what she is doing.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

in this stage teacher will show students some picture on the PowerPoint and she will elicit the verbs. examples will be given after examples CCQs will be asked and drilling will be done.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

In this stage The teacher will ask students to highlight the new words in the examples.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

In this stage students will fill the gaps on the paper that the teacher give them. answers will be checked in pairs and then the teacher will give them the answer key.

Free Practice (15-18 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

the teacher will show a sample and give students a list of new words. they will be divided in three groups and after they finished they will walk around the class and ask other group about their stories.
