Greeting the students and then ask these questions: -What you had been doing before the war and coming here to Egypt? -For how long you have been.....( according to students' answers)? -What will have you done by the next year?
Give the students a reading text and ask one of them to read it out loud and after that ask certain questions to highlight the target language: -How long has Maria been running in the park every day? -What has Maria been following for the past six months? -How hard had Maria been training before her previous marathon? -Why was Maria devastated before her previous marathon? -By next year, how long will Maria have been running marathons? -What will Maria have been aiming to participate in by next year?
Write on the board one example of each tense that is provided in the text and then explicit the form from the examples with illustrations of singular and plural forms. Then draw the timeline to explain the meaning of the target language.
Give students the filling gaps exercise and divide them into pairs to do the task. Answer with them the first one as an example. ICQs: what are we going to fill the gap with it? Are we going to work individually or in pairs? Then give the starting signal.
Divide them into groups and ask them to create a story about a character who is preparing for a big event. Include details about what they had been doing before the event, what they have been doing recently, and what they will have been doing by the time of the event. Tell them they have 4 minutes and give the starting signal. After time ends ask each group to present their story and then give language feedback.
