The students will be given the text to read it. They have to find four things Mark likes and one thing he doesn´t like. Then, they will have some simple questions and answers to match. Students will do the activity individually before the Open Class Feedback.
Students will be asked to put in order of preferences the following words: I love, I like, I hate, I really like, I quite like, I don´t like, is/are OK. Then, they will compare their answers as they give their reasons. After that, a cline will be presented for them to understand the degree of preferences. Then, It will be showed how to use verb+ing and a noun. The teacher will elicit examples from the students to practice. Finally, will say three sentences with a specific stress where the students need to identify it.
It will be shown four sentences where students have to use the expressions learned according to the emoji showed.
A box with verbs+ing and nouns will be shown for the students to use in the free practice. The teacher will provide a model where she will encourage a student to say something he likes or dislikes and the teacher might respond: "Me too/I don´t. I hate them". After that, the students will imagine they go on a first date, and they will think on what is important for other people to know about them, so they will pair up to practice with the vocabulary given. Also, they will be encouraged to practice with simple questions: "do you like...?" At the end, the teacher will provide feedback on the students performance.
