Main Aims

  • By the end of this lesson students will be able to use simple present tense and talk about a daily routine, the teacher will guide them and clarify the grammar tense as well.

Subsidiary Aims

  • By the end of this lesson students will be able to produce a daily routine according to a sample which the teacher will give them.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In This stage the teacher will start the lesson with talking about her imaginary boyfriend and give him a character.

Exposure (6-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

In this stage the T will talk about her imaginary boyfriend's routine and show pictures and also related texts.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

The T will highlight the target language and help them discover the meaning.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

The teacher will clarify the target language in negative, positive and question form and examples will be given. drilling contractions will be done as well.

Controlled Practice (5-5 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

In this stage the teacher will give students an online quiz and they will do this individually, If the technology get broken, handouts will be given and the controlled practice will be done in pair.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

writing will be set in this stage. The students are going to write as they are a millionaire and at the end of this stage they are going to randomly change their writings and find out three different things in the other student's writing.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

They will randomly pick a position and talk in pairs about their daily routine. such as mother, doctor,etc.
