At first I am going to show the picture of charlie so we can describe his appearance then I am going to teach them some important words by photos and then we can start reading the text,

Main Aims

  • To provide process writing practice of a essay in the context of writing about your self

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a debate in the context of writing about your self

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

show a picture of charlie and describing his appearance by asking some Q like is his nose big? is he happy? what about his hair? is it short or not?

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

teaching some important words to my students by showing the pictures. then I am going to ask some Qs from my students like: do you watch movies by subtitle or not? what type of movies do you like? comedy? scary? science fiction?

While-Reading/Listening #1 (7-9 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Read the text and at first answer the Qa in pair then we are going to check them with the whole class.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (7-14 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I am going to tell them how to introduce them selves like: my full name is.../ you can call me.../ my nick name is... or even about their age: Im ... years old/ Im over/almost/nearly.../ my birthday is on... and we talked about how to describe your appearance.

Post-Reading/Listening (15-20 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
