To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of holiday experiences

Stage 1 (3-4 minutes) • Lead-in

tell the Ss about your own holiday experience. Get them to guess what the lesson is about.

Stage 2 (4-5 minutes) • get Ss to guess adjective about holiday places

T projects different pictures of places where people can have a holiday. T elicits adjectives describing those pictures.

Stage 3 (8-10 minutes) • To elicit adjectives

T projects some pictures describing personal qualities (tall, generous, stingy...) and elicits the adjectives for those pictures.

stage 4 (4-2 minutes) • fill in the gaps

Get Ss to fill the adjecitves that they learn beforehand in the statements below.

stage 5 • freer speaking

Get them to speak about their holiday experience. T gets them to use pre-taught adjectives
