Pre-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

1_Arouse Interest: Show students the teddy bear and the ball. Ask them to name these toys. 2_Activate Schemata: Show a picture of toys and say : Look at this picture. These are toys. Can you name any of these toys? 3_ Pre-teach Vocabulary: show Show the image or the real objects of the toys and ask, "What is this? Can you say the name?" 4_ Give learners a purpose : Ask students to guess which toys will be in the song. Write their guesses on the board.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (3-5 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Listen and Find: Play the song "My Toys." Ask students to listen and point to the toys in the images as they hear them.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-15 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Play the song again. This time, say we want to do a role-play with the conversation, 'What do you want?' 'I want a [...], please.' So, I'm going to play this song one more time. You have to listen carefully. Role-Play: Divide students into pairs. One student asks, "What do you want?" and the other responds with "I want a [toy], please." Swap roles.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

_Direct the students to do the book activity related to toys. Shop Game: Place toy flashcards or real toys in front of the students, role-play as the seller asking "What do you want?", and have students respond with "I want a [...], please," then hand them the flashcard and say, "Here you go."
