  • To provide detailed reading practice using a text about Murphy's law in the context of It always happens.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

teacher going to start to talk about her experience in traffic and some shopping center that when they changed the line the other line started to move faster . I want the students to talk about the same experience they had in social life and driving

Pre-Reading/Listening (9-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

In this stage the teacher is going to teach the students some key vocabulary of the text.[Reputation / Delayed /something goes wrong / Hyperactive ] students are going to talk about different things.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (3-5 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students are going to answer the question; if you are in a check-in line and you change to another line that is moving more quickly ,what will happen? (The previous line will move faster) after they will be asked to do exercise '' b'' on page 62. they should try to answer the question in 1 minutes and after that they will share their answers with class.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The students will be asked; how many Murphy's law you can see that mentioned in the article? (4) Then they will be asked to read the text deeper and match the eight examples of Murphy's Law in the article with the sentences a to h in exercise ''c'' page 62 for 4 minutes. The answers will be first check in pairs for 2 minutes and then with whole class. if any student give different answer they should support their answer to find the correct answer.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The students are going to be divided into groups of two or three and discuss about the exercise ''d'' in page 62 which the question is ; Do any of these things or things like this often happened to you?
