  • To provide clarification of Wish clauses in the context of whishes

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Wishes

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The lesson will be started with a song to make them ready to get into the topic, wish.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

There will be some pictures about different situations which lead to wishes using want and can. CCQs will be asked.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Highlighting will be done as an exercise, To match pictures to the related statement.

Clarification (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

To clarify the teacher will write the structure on the board and explain the meaning of the grammar and give examples as well.

Controlled Practice (5-5 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Handouts will be given. in this activity students work individually and then check in pairs.

Semi-Controlled Practice (6-7 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Each group, should continue three wish clause handouts with their own words and share it in pairs.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

1.In this stage students will be asked to write three wishes and after that walk around the class to find their match. It will be declared as a competition the person who finds no match will win. 2. students will imagine themselves as kids and write three wishes as well. in a whole class activity we will discuss about one of them. 3. some Topics will be given and students will guess other students' wishes by asking yes no questions.
